Mist Worship

Description

L.A. Zoo. There was a huge, oscillating fan blowing mist onto a hot crowd. This really lovely girl was chatting between the fan's movements toward her. When the mist began to hit her she would block out the world and strike this pose. I love the combination of the mist softening everything, the gold of her accessories and skin, and the glitter of the water droplets on her.

This image is very nice. The off-center placement of the subject, the repetitive 'Vs' of the bent elbow which frames the people next to the subject as well as brings the viewers eye to the subject's face; the highlights on her arm which accentuates movement of the eye; and the grouping of three people, which in itself is good composition.

The mist could have been difficult to capture, but you did an excellent job, in my opinion.

Good work! #972599

Thank you! It was one of those moments when you are blindsided by the shot and you actually have the camera with you. #6264562
